Hippodrome Place Music Studios
History
There has been a music studio on Hippodrome Place since 1979. In its original incarnation, the studio was a converted and extended garage, used by composer and musician Simon Jeffes.

Since 1997 the studio has been in the hands of Jeffes' son Arthur and is now the base for Numonic Music - which Arthur runs along with Tom Chichester Clark. In 2003, the old studio had reached the end of its natural life, and plans were drawn up for a new and larger purpose built studio on the same site. Construction of the new studio began a few years later, and finished in 2007. The studio now comprises of salubrious residential accomodation as well as the recording and mixing facilities.
