In this second work we, the viewer, are brought inside a celebration watching a figure, welcomed by the Proprietor to enter and join in. The guitar leaning on the wall and the drum held by the person entering the room implies the celebration has just begun and all are invited to join. The doorway has no visible door or hinges speaking to the nature of the Penguin Cafe Orchestra’s mission to bring people together in musical embrace. The Proprietor and person point at each other suggesting a known familiarity and sense of community.
